Current Positions:

Electrical or HVAC (Certification required) GRS, Inc. (George R. Smalley, Inc.) is a stable, privately owned company for over 60 years and is looking for a trade school graduate in Electrical or HVAC (Certification required) and experience in Building Automation is helpful. This is a great opportunity for a Residential or Level 1 Technician to be trained for high level HVAC and Energy Management Control Technician. We will provide extensive OJT training for this position. (Glen Burnie, MD)
Requirements: Electrical, HVAC or Building Automation education; follow blueprints and control wiring diagrams. Commercial experience helpful. Vocational/Technical preferred. Must be DOT compliant with a valid driver's license and good driving record, pre-employment testing is required. Travel is required. Knowledge of LON, ModBus and BACnet Protocols. HVAC mechanical or electric service or installation experience is a plus.  Physical requirements include full range of activity and movement, ability to climb ladders and perform job duties at high elevations and work off scissor lifts or boom lifts. Customer Service Manager (Electrical Department): Serving our fast paced, Customer Service and Estimating Departments. Manager will be responsible for the department’s electrical services, scheduling, and billing to our customers. Experience and skills required include but not limited to scheduling service calls, completing Service Request Orders, and processing them. Manage technician schedules and computer dispatching, multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills are needed. Computer skills (Excel and Outlook) are required; accounting skills for invoicing, billing, and reporting are required. Customer service skills of problem solving, scheduling services and building relationships are required. At least two years related experience required. Position is hourly, 8:30-5, full time, weekdays with full benefit package. Background check is required. EOE

Carpenter: Skills including basic wood or steel framing, construction maintenance and repairs of facility interior, exterior and structural areas.  Hand and finish drywall in small limited areas.  Experience with quick dry compound and ability to produce a high quality finish is a plus.  All work is commercial sites, 1-5 day projects.  Travel is necessary to jobs assigned.  Per-diems available.  Must have own tools. Electrician:  Commercial and Residential experience required for service to low voltage systems and equipment installations; including lighting, security systems, electrical trade maintenance; conduit systems. Travel included. Ability to follow electrical code manuals to install and repair electrical systems.  Electrical education required; Vocational/Technical Certificate is a plus. ATM Field Technician: Equipment installation with strong skills of Electronics and IT.  Position performs software installation, ATM or security equipment.  PC and network connectivity including Windows 7 and 10.  Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, stand, bend and kneel while working on equipment.  Vocational/Technical Certification necessary.  Travel to job assignments required.  Trucks and tools provided.  DOT compliant and Pre-employment testing required; Valid Drivers License.  EOE
