Thousands of electrical connections make up your home’s electrical system. Did you know that through normal daily use these connections will eventually break apart or become loose? Potentially, this could result in a dangerous arcing situation that could lead to a fire.
If you are experiencing any of these problems, don’t wait. Keep your family and your home safe. Call us today. We will perform electrical diagnostics and get to the root of your problem.
A faulty electrical service panel in your home is a danger to you and your family. If you have an older panel, pay attention to signs that it may need to be replaced before it fails. If you detect any of the warning signs below, call us for an inspection to see if repairs or a replacement panel is needed.
- Continuously tripping circuit breakers: If you are resetting breakers a few times a week, the panel is in need of serious repairs or a full replacement.
- Evidence of electrical fires in the panel: If there is an odor from the panel or charring and discolored marks around the circuit breakers, there has probably been an electrical fire in the panel. Call us immediately to avoid a fire.
- Breakers will not remain reset: If a reset circuit breaker in the breaker box won’t stay reset or it does not restore power, then the service panel may need repaired or replaced. Call us and we can determine the problem and offer the best solution.
Home Standby Generator
Don’t be in the dark. Keep your home or business running during a power outage by installing a home standby generator. A home standby generator keeps your power on during an outage. It’s installed outside your home or business (like an AC unit) and comes on automatically within a few seconds of a power outage. Plus standby generators run on propane or natural gas, so there’s no refueling. Be the envy of your neighbors and keep your business open during the next power outage. Contact us for more information and to schedule a consultation.
Do you need surge protection? Surge protection levels out the effects of the electricity and keeps the power running without sending surges of power to home appliances. Surge protectors absorb the impact of the shock, stopping it before it moves on to damage expensive electronic equipment or appliances.
Consider surge protection to protect:
- HVAC Systems (Air conditioners, furnaces and dehumidifiers)

Arc fault protection
The UL Standard for AFCls defines an arc-fault as an unintentional arcing condition in a circuit (wiring). Arcing creates high intensity heat (may exceed 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit) resulting in burning particles that may over time ignite surrounding material such as wood framing or insulation. Samples of types of arcing that can occur:
- Natural degradation through age
- Humidity or heat
- Extended mechanical stress
- Extended voltage stress
- Animals chewing through insulation
- Nails, tacks from construction or picture hanging driven into a wall puncturing or damaging a wire(s)
- Extension or power supply cord damage from sharp bends or furniture pressing on or against cords
- General cord damage
- Poor wiring or connection at devices/j-boxes
Arc fault protection is extremely important since arc-faults are often unseen and can occur anywhere in the home’s electrical system including within walls and at loose electrical connections.
AFCI outlet offers the benefit of localized TEST and RESET, providing a convenient option to AFCI breakers.
Ground fault protection
A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) is an important safety device to have in a home to help protect people from electrical shocks due to hazardous ground faults. Ground faults occur when instead of following its normal safe path, electrical current “leaks” or otherwise follow an unsafe path, possibly flowing through to a person. For example: – Operating electrical equipment in wet or damp conditions – Electrical current leaks from appliances or tools – Electrical wiring becomes frayed or damaged.

Electrical safety information
Electricity has become such a necessary part of our lives that we tend to take it for granted, but using it safely is vitally important. Thousands of people in the United States are critically injured and electrocuted as a result of electrical fires and accidents in their own homes each year.
The Electrical Safety Foundation International (ESFI) reminds you that the best way to protect your family and your home against the risk of electrical fires or electrocution is to hire a qualified, licensed electrician to perform any electrical work in your home.
